On Friday 2 May 2008, Natchan World, the second high-speed ferry after Natchan Rera, begins service along the shipping lane between Aomori and Hakodate.
The design along the hull of Natchan World is based on illustrations submitted by children in 6th grade and younger throughout Japan, using "Parade" as their theme.
Illustrator Yamaoka Toshikazu screened the entries, finally selecting 18 illustrations from a total of 538 submissions.
The endearing name "Natchan" has been kept for this ferry as well, coupled with "World", inspired by the friends from all around the world who parade along the hull of the ferry.

Executive class on Natchan World can be used by passengers in groups of 2 to 4.
Booth-style suites where you can remove your shoes, stretch out, and make yourself comfortable provide both a relaxing and private environment where you can enjoy a luxurious ocean view.
The lounge is equipped with automated massage chairs where you can enjoy an even deeper level of relaxation.
